Raha grew up in Southern California and has called San Diego home since high school.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from UCSD, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She remained at UCSD where she earned her doctorate from the School of Medicine.  Raha married her husband of over 20 years, Kevin Shaw, while in medical school. They completed their residency training in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah. Raha and Kevin returned to San Diego for Kevin’s fellowship training in Pulmonary/Critical Care, and have been happy to be back home ever since.

Raha has practiced pediatrics in San Diego since 2007.  Though she has worked in the Emergency Room at Rady Children’s Hospital and the newborn nursery at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, her heart is in primary care where she cares for children and adolescents of all ages.  She practiced in a general pediatrics clinic in Carmel Valley for nearly 15 years, and is very excited to join the fabulous team at Coast Pediatrics.  Raha loves watching children grow and seeing families evolve over time. She enjoys taking time with her patients to develop relationships based on trust and open communication.

Raha and Kevin live in Solana Beach with their children, Dylan and Owen.  Kevin serves as the medical director of the Intensive Care Unit at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.  Raha loves spending time with her children and cheering them on at music and sporting events.  The Shaw family loves to hike, travel, listen to live music, ski and surf together. In her spare time, Raha is often running the dog or surfing in Cardiff and Solana Beach.
